Catherine has been involved in the Irish dance community, under the Drake School of Irish Dance, since the age of 8 years old. She has competed at both a regional and national level in solos and team ceilis. She began assistant teaching beginner dancers at the age of 17 in Sarasota, FL before going on to independently teach a beginner class at a local church arts program in Tallahassee, FL. She then transitioned to assistant teaching champion dancers under the direction of Christina Deacy, TCRG at the Coral Springs, FL Drake Irish Dance location. Outside of dance, Catherine has recently obtained her Doctorate in Physical Therapy which she feels offers a fresh perspective on both a dancer’s movement patterns and how to keep her dancers healthy. She is very motivated and excited to be bringing this beautiful art form back to the Sarasota community.
